There is one thing that is going to happening to all of us as living being’s and that to be put bluntly and that is DIE, but there is a second thing that will happen to all of us also that is NOT really talked about and this is Sarcopenia and is very much associated with the Aging process of both men and woman and is a matter of fact, and is something that most people will start to notice in there mid-forties.

Sarcopenia is the loss of muscle-mass, and this is what every human being will go through as their body goes through declining years or the aging process, worse if you are not an active individual, it may happen sooner.

The problem with sarcopenia it can increase the risk of certain diseases, there are bio-markers for healthy aging, and having muscle-mass is considered vital for healthy aging, so some of the Bio-markers for health are these fantastic four as well as others.

These bio-marker’s are changes in the human body that normally represent a decline in bodily function and aging, having muscle and strengthening muscles is very important for a lot of different reasons.

Why is having muscle mass so important?

It can prevent play an important role in preventing Type 2 Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, heart disease and other diseases associated with aging and the decline of muscle mass

Having muscle-mass sends signals to the body to mobilize fat, muscle is effective at burning calories, especially when resistance training is over and you are resting

Muscle is an energy reserve in a health crisis, muscles, ligaments and tendons support the Bones of our body, the Elderly and frail, tend to suffer from breaks and fractures to their bones when they fall, and suffer from Brittle bone known as Osteoporosis which effects one in  three woman, so support your bones, by trying to strengthen the muscles through resistance training.

As I said earlier the loss of muscle mass is going to happen to us all, but the rate and the speed of it happening can be slowed down by doing resistance training, and by following a nutritional protocol that will help you with growth, repair, and a lifestyle that will encourage rest and recuperation.

What happens to some

So people when they reach a certain time in their life, may join a weight loss program in the pursuit that they are hitting their mid lives and that they are fed up with the way they look and how they feel. But due to the nature of the Protocol that they are doing, it may be promoting the wrong action, in that it may in fact be promoting Muscle-mass loss, which will not only slow down your metabolism, but may also increase your body fat percentage which again is something that we need to keep in guide-line figures related to your age, unless we are an athlete or physique athlete in which you will peak in single digits if you are younger.

Conclusion:

Sarcopenia is the loss of Muscle mass, and can bring minor and major health related issues, by doing a structured resistance training program, it will help you as you start to enter the decline of the aging process, also by paying attention to your nutrition and other lifestyle markers you can enter the aging process in better physical shape and a better state of mind.
